I would be very reluctant to take an express lane/HOV lane. I don't trust that I would not get a ticket then have to go through a lot of trouble trying to apple the ticket telling them you had people in the car and it was allowed. Besides not trusting the company that runs the express lanes not give tickets that are unwarranted there is another reason I have not used the express lanes. When I wanted to do into DC with visitors I had not planned and gotten an E-Zpass device so I did not use the HOV lanes. In the past before the Express lane system I would have just used the HOV lanes with people in the car but now I did not because I did not have the E-Zpass device. The E-Zpass costs money even if you only plan to use it for 3 person HOV for a week when people are visiting you and want to do into DC.

Do you inspect private homes? Lots of owners are renting living rooms, dining rooms to folks... people are sleeping on single mattresses like sardines... not sure if that's up to code or healthy for all occupants...

So let me get this straight, he claims this will make the environment cleaner when they are done. How exactly??? From my understanding bringing in more traffic is never good for the environment. More people commuting in and out whether it be by bus or automobile will definitely create more pollution or did they just choose to ignore that glaring obvious problem?

Very good! Retail and housing oughtta develop immediately at and next to this transit hub, and transit/hot lanes need to be allowed to replace general-traffic lanes (no more road-widening)

There are so many problems with electric vehicles that they don't talk about. Cold weather shortens its range and if the batteries are too cold they won't charge. Then there's a matter have the batteries themselves some have been known during ignite spontaneously. When the batteries have ended their life cycle then you have the problem of how to get rid of them. Not to mention that the world does not produce enough copper in order to sustain building days. 9 million of charging stations in many of them are faulty and don't work. A 15 or 20 year old electric vehicle will have no value and in fact will probably cost you just to have it destroyed. If you had enough charging stations then you got the problem of there's not enough power to recharge them all in a reasonable amount of time if they all want to be charged then you will experience brownouts. And that's only the beginning of the problems is just the manufacturing of the batteries pollutes enormously. A nice idea but the technology is just not there.
